A Rich Tradition

Welcome to the GFL. The GFL started in 1986 as the "Gator Football League". Fantasy Football was in it's infancy, but none of the games out at the time satisfed the Marshall University Tekes (TKE). So they made up there own game which includes all aspects of football, not just offense. The league was given the name Gator Football League or GFL, for the dance done in movie "Animal House". The same dance was done on 3rd Ave. in Huntington, West Virginia serveral times by the MU Tekes in front of the old "Double Tribble". Marshall University Stadium now sits on the same block on 3rd Ave. 37 different people have played in the GFL over 20 football seasons.
