The 2006 GFL Rulebook

A) DRAFT DAY TILL OPENER!
A1) The commissioner shall set a time and date for the draft.
A2) The draft order will be determined by drawing lots then picking a spot in the draft order.
A3) Each team will consist of no more than 44 roster spots.
A4) Each team will pick in serpentine order till each team has there desired number of players.
A5) Teams do not have to fill there roster on draft day but must fill it by NFL opening day to do so without penalty.
A6) Each team gets 7 roster moves per season.
A7) A roster move is a pick-up or trade.
A8) Only one player may be picked-up per roster move but unlimited players can be traded per one roster move.
A9) All players picked up from Midnight Friday or kickoff of the first NFL game of the week (whichever is earlier)till 8am Tuesday morning must go through the wavier wire.
A10) If a player is claimed on waivers, the team that claims him goes back to the end of the wire.
A11) After the commissioner puts out the wavier wire pick-ups teams have 24 hours to claim the player.
A12) If the player goes unclaimed by a team ahead of the picking team on the wire, he passes waviers and is placed on the team that placed him on the wire and that teamgoes back to the end of the waiver wire.
A13) Players picked up from 8am Tuesday to Midnight Friday skip the wire and are "first come, first serve."
A14) NO PICK-UPS WILL BE ALLOWED ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.
A15) The first wavier wire order will be determined at the draft using the opposite order of draft finish. (example #10,#9,#8...)
A16) A trade or drop of player that the commisioner deems "not in the best interest of the league" may be reversed by using the "Willie rule."
A17) If the commissioners team is involved in the deal then a majority of owners (6) may override the deal.
A18) Deadline for Trades is Midnight Monday of Week 7.
A 19) Deadline for Pick-ups is Midnight Moday of Week 10.
A20) The CFFL will consist of two 5 team conferences to be determined by lifetime records.
A21) The AFC will consist of the #1, #4, #5, #7 and #10
A22) The NFC will consist of the #2, #3, #6, #8, and #9
A23) The trading of draft picks is permitted on draft day only.
B) GAMEDAY!
B1) Line-ups are due by Saturday MIDNIGHT each week.
B2) Players in non-Sunday games (i.e. Thusday, Saturday) must be submitted prior to kick-off of the first game that day.  For RB and WO you must also include the specific position (RB1, WO3).
B3) Each line-up will consist of the following:
1 QUARTERBACK
2 RUNNING BACKS (#1 AND #2)
3 WIDE OUTS or TIGHT ENDS (#1, #2, #3)
1 OFFENSIVE LINE
1 HEAD COACH
1 PUNTER
1 KICKER
*4-7 FRONT SEVEN (LB, NT, DT, DE)
*4-7 DEFENSIVE BACKS (CB, SS, FS)
*Defensive players must total 11
B4) A running back may be played in the #3 wide out slot but only his Receptions, RECEIVING yardage and Total Touchdowns will be counted.
B5) Any team that inserts a player in the line-up that is on his bye-week will get a ZERO at the position.
B6) If both teams insert a bye-week player at the same spot both team will get ZERO'S.
C) SCORING!
C1) EACH OFFENSIVE CATAGORY IS WORTH 3 POINTS

*if this number is a tie then the QB throwing the most passes wins, if that is the same then it's a true tie

C2) DEFENSIVE SCORING IS AS FOLLOWS..

*a player may only score once in the tackles catagory

Each 20 yards of Interception Return -1
C3) Any tied catagories are won by the home team 2 to 1.
C4) In neutral week or vs. games tied catagories are split 1 1/2 to 1 1/2.
C5) All offensive points are added then opponents defensive point subtracted to get a total score.
C6) Unless both teams score is under zero. no teams zero will be recorded sub zero. Simply zero will be used.
C7) The commisioner will score or disignate scorers for all games.
C8) League scores will be posted on Tuesday.
C9) Scoring differences THAT EFFECT THE OUTCOME OF A GAME must be brought to the commissioner attention by Wednesday midnight. After Wednesday midnight all score go final and are official.

D) THE POST-SEASON
D1) 5 of the 10 league members will make the playoffs.
D2) The 2 Conference Champions will be seed #1 and #2.
D3) Three Wildcards will be given the next 3 teams with the best records. There will be seeded  WC#1, WC#2 and WC#3.
D4) Week 14 WC#3 will visit WC#2 for a play-in game.
D5) Week 15 will have the play-in winner visiting #1 seed and WC#1 visiting #2 seed.
D6) Week 16 is the Gator Bowl with the 2 winners playing at a neutral site just outside of Hamlin.
D7) This is how standings ties are broken...
